Live baccarat combines a real dealer, physical playing cards and an online betting interface. You watch the cards being dealt through a video stream and place bets during a timed betting window. This Crickso guide explains the game’s main rules and betting options.

How Live Baccarat Works

Baccarat compares two hands labelled Player and Banker. These names identify the hands; choosing Player does not mean you control the cards. The aim is to predict which hand will finish closest to nine, or whether both hands will tie.

Each hand receives two cards initially. A third card may be drawn according to fixed rules, so players do not choose whether to hit or stand.

Understanding Card Values

Baccarat uses a straightforward scoring system:

• Aces: Worth one point.
• Cards two through nine: Count at face value.
• Tens and face cards: Worth zero points.

Only the final digit of a hand’s total counts. For example, seven and eight total fifteen, giving the hand a value of five. An initial total of eight or nine is called a natural. When either hand has a natural, no additional cards are drawn.

Main Live Baccarat Bets

• Player Bet: This bet wins when the Player hand finishes closer to nine than the Banker hand.
• Banker Bet: This bet wins when the Banker hand finishes closer to nine. Many tables charge a commission on winning Banker bets, while other versions use different payout conditions.
• Tie Bet: This bet wins when both hands finish with the same total. It typically offers a larger payout but carries a higher house edge than the main Player and Banker bets.
